The knife features a narrow, pointed laminated steel blade that offers excellent sharpness and durability, making it easy to work with and perfect for detailed carving. The short, agile blade allows precise cuts and fine control. The knife has a comfortable barrel-shaped handle made of natural birch – the same type traditionally used by the craftsmen in Nusnäs to carve the iconic red wooden Dala horses. Morakniv recommends soaking the Dala horse blank in water before use to make the wood softer and easier to carve.
