The XR Spherical is a helmet built to do a bit of everything – racing, cyclocross, road rides, the weekly commute, or long-distance cycling adventures across the world. The Falcon XR features a Deep Road fit, excellent ventilation, a Fidlock® magnetic buckle, and Ionic+™ antimicrobial comfort padding, creating a helmet that is both practical and economical. The helmet is also compatible with the Blackburn® Grid COB rear LED light, which integrates seamlessly into the large rear vent. The Ionic+™ antimicrobial padding uses silver-metallized yarn to help control odor inside the helmet. The Fusion In-Mold Polycarbonate shell offers a durable and lightweight construction with ventilation through 18 channels. The Ionic+™ Antimicrobial Comfort lining helps prevent odor and bacteria, while the Fidlock® magnetic buckle allows easy and secure fastening. The helmet features eyewear ports with No-Twist Tri-Glides™ and a Sweat Guide™ to help manage moisture. It weighs 310 grams in size M and comes in three sizes: S 52–56 cm, M 55–59 cm, and L 58–62 cm. It is certified according to CPSC Bicycle and CE EN1078 standards. The Float Fit™ retention system is minimalist and lightweight, featuring a rubber-coated dial integrated with Mips®. The helmet’s lightweight straps include No-Twist Tri-Glides™ for quick adjustment, keeping the straps flat and correctly positioned at all times. The Mips® Evolve system protects the brain from rotational motion that can occur during an angled impact, as rotational forces are known to cause the most severe brain injuries. With Mips®, the outer and inner layers of the helmet can move relative to each other, reducing rotation and helping protect both head and brain. Tests and studies show that Mips® significantly reduces impact forces and lowers the risk of serious brain injury. The helmet should generally be replaced after any impact or external force, such as a cycling accident.
